How We Rank Products
 Every few months, our skin care team tabulate consumer submitted rankings and comments. Each are reviewed for authenticity and honesty in an attempt to "weed" out unscrupulous marketers who try to artificially inflate rankings or who try to post blatantly abusive review comments against competitors. These rankings and comments are then compared and weighed against our ongoing product testing and evaluations. Final updated professional rankings are then posted to the site along with a recommend product for each category. We feel this is the best way to give the consumer a true picture of what is safe and effective among the ever increasing and changing products in the skin care industry. That is, by combining independent user reviews with formal product evaluations we are attempting to provide fair and even suggestions to the skin care buying public.
This site is continually a work in progress. Our plan is to constantly add to and improve the functions of the site in order to better serve you. The most recent improvement is the implementation of real-time consumer rankings. We may revert to bi-weekly or monthly tabulations if our technology for foiling "ballot stuffing" proves unsuccessful. We hope we're not forced to do that.

How You Rank A Product
Participating in our site, and helping your skin care buying peers rank a product is easy. Simply click on the product category and then click the "rank it" button below each product image. A pop up window will open allowing you to rate that product from 1 [poor] to 5[best]. You also have the option to provide a comment related to the product you're ranking. Click the "rank product name" submit button and that's it. You've successfully helped to rank products you like or dislike. Optionally, you can also send us an email with your vote to info@skincarebuyersguide.com. Be sure to clearly indicate the product you're reviewing, the category, and your rank from 1 to 5.
